While the post war-boom led many to conclude that marxism was obsolete, that capitalism had discovered the secret of eternal youth, and that the working class was no longer a force for revolutionary change, a small minority of revolutionaries, very often working in conditions of almost complete isolation, remained loyal to the fundamental tenets of marxism.
